Akunow House sits on a 56-acre ranch, surrounded by tall ponderosa pines, cedar trees, and small oaks. Guests will enjoy the beautiful view of the Animas Valley from this vacation home. Akunow House is a unique vacation rental property offering many activities year-around both on Wonuka Farm and throughout the Four Corners area. Horse boarding and overnight stabling is available at Wonuka Farm, and pets are welcome.

| Area Attractions
Durango and the Four Corners area offers a vast variety of activities for nearly anyone.ern ranch experience. The world-famous Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Train Station is located just 15 minutes from the Akunow House. Thousands ride it to and from spectacular Silverton, Colorado, or through the wilderness to Rockwood, Colorado. Mesa Verde National Park, 45 minutes from the Akunow House is one of the most awe-inspiring parks in the nation. Here the by-gone Native American civilization echoes the way of life for the ancient ones in the beautiful canyons west of Durango. There are also several golf courses in the area, most notably the Tamarron, the Dalton Ranch Golf Club, and the Hillcrest Golf Course. Also nearby is the Diamond Circle Melodrama, which is world famous for its authentic theatre and famous performers. The theatre holds performances June 5th - September 25th. Just 20 minutes north of the Akunow house guests will find trail rides, dinner rides, back country adventures, fishing and hunting tours, and even spectacular sleigh rides offered by Buck's Livery. The natural hot springs near the ranch have attracted many spa seekers since the 20's, and the more adventurous vacationer can go on guided jeep tours through ghost towns and by many mines from the turn of the century. Other activities include dog-sled tours, snow-skiing, and scenic drives through the mountains on the San Juan Skyway. |

3705 County Road 250, Durango, CO - From the Durango-La Plata County Airport: Start out going north on Airport Rd/CR-309 toward CR-309A. After about one mile, turn left onto CO-172. Travel 5.6 miles and turn left onto US-160. Stay straight for about 7.4 miles to go onto US-550 North. After approximately one mile, turn right onto CR-252/Trimble Lane. Turn right onto CR 250, and proceed to the property. |
