<b>Location.</b> Purgatory Village Lodge is a slope-side condominium-style accommodation located in the San Juan National Forest, between Silverton and Durango, Colorado. Tucked between the San Juan Mountains and the Animas River Valley, the town of Durango has been dubbed one of the most desirable small cities in the country. Home to the popular Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, the town also hosts a delightful string of shops, galleries and microbreweries. There is plenty to keep visitors busy, including fantastic skiing and snowboarding in the winter and mountain biking, hiking and horseback riding in summer. <br><b>Hotel Features.</b> Purgatory Villaqe Lodge offers modern amenities and ski-in/ski-out access. Looping through alpine forest, rolling hills and towering mountains, the 236-mile San Juan Skyway connects Durango with other popular towns such as Telluride, Ouray and Ridgway. For those who don't mind the drive, Ridgway State Park offers 1,000 acres of water for boating, fishing and swimming.
